AVI PERSPECTIVE: Fake News and the Crisis of Democracy

The use of propaganda and misinformation has been a fact of life in international relations for as long as we have recorded history. This article analyses the role of fake news in democratic political systems by examining Weimar Germany and the United States in the Trump era.

It also analyses the implications that weaknesses in US democratic political system have on world order and small states like Cambodia.
