In this video, we will dive deep into WLAN Header fields – Frame Control, Duration/ID, BSSID, SA, TA, DA, Sequence Control, QoS control, Frame Body, FCS etc. We will also look at an in-depth introduction into the bit fields in Frame Control which include – type, subtype, to ds, from ds, more fragments, retry, power management, more data, protected frame etc.
Though I will be using Wireshark to help you understand these header fields, I do not deny that this video is a bit theoretical and long 🙂 but I would really encourage you to go through this as it will give you a firm grounding in WLAN protocol basics. This is a must for future videos when we will discuss various attacks.
